My partner and I competed in the Herman Miller competition to make a radical alteration to the classic Eames chair. These designs were judged by the company and the winners were provided a chair to fabricate and be auctioned off for charity. Our concept of creating a 3D printed structure to offset the material removed by a parametric series of perforations was approved by the design panel.
